Constantina GEORGIOU
BIO
Constantina has been a producer for 12 years, being now an artist mentor and a community artist. She holds a BA in Film Direction and an MA in Arts Management (Goldsmiths). Since 2007, she has been supporting artists to deliver their projects in festivals and venues across Europe (e.g. Onassis Cultural Centre, Pavilion Dance South West, Athens & Epidaurus Festival) but also in hospitals, prisons and schools.
In 2009, she founded Among the Ants (Athens/Larnaca) where she co-designed & led festivals, workshops & residencies, among others: FIRST ATTEMPT festival, The Triumph of Shadows (exhibition on Greek shadow theatre at the Hellenic-American Union), and Pegniothen festival for people with and without disabilities. In 2021, she supported the Greek participation in The Walk (Good Chance), co-designed and facilitated the youth programme Peculiar Maps exploring Cypriot identity, collaborated with Arts Emergency as a youth mentor and supported Royal Oak Arts (Wythenshawe) in community outreach.
To complement her practice, she was recently trained on Leadership in community cohesion by OddArts. She is part of A New Direction’s Peer Learning Group, and a fellow of Atelier for Arts and Production Managers Elefsina-Beirut 2021-22 by The Festival Academy.
Originally from Cyprus, Constantina is now based in Athens.
