AKSHY MARAYEN

BIO
Akshy Marayen trained in Costume Design at Wimbledon College of the Arts. Akshy works in all aspects of costume for theatre, film and TV and has experience working in design, making, textiles and assisting. Akshy has collaborated with Company Concentric on three of their performances, from their first performance ‘Swapping Shadows’ to the more recent ‘Remainder’ which both premiered at The Place Theatre for Resolution Festival. Her other collaborations within dance have been on ‘Blood Is Thicker Than Water’ and ‘The Three Visions’ which both premiered at Sadler’s Wells' Lilian Baylis Studio choreographed by Christopher Thomas, as well as contemporary dance circus piece 'Once Standing', choreographed by Out of Order and Jasmin Vardimon’s 2018 JV2 Triple Bill tour. Throughout her practice Akshy enjoys the journey and experimental processes of fabric manipulation, fuelled by her passion for textiles and colour. Akshy also thrives when working collaboratively with other creatives.
